The Smallest House in Shepherdstown (227/365) (073/365)

Shepherdstown, WV

The smallest house in Shepherdstown is supersized doll house, an old Shepherd College project. Completed in 1929, the two-story "house" has five rooms and measures 10 feet high by 9-1/2 feet wide, with 5 1/2 foot ceilings. It was built so student teachers could observe children playing in the "Laboratory setting."

Just to give you some perspective… one of the friends that was with me is just a little over 6′ tall… when he stood in the pergola to the right, his eyes were visible above the top. This place was crazy small!!
